A little History

The foundation of the AVATAR Mixed Martial Arts System is the most recognized, and credible martial art style in the world. The original style of Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) was first discovered by the American public on November 12, 1993 in Denver, Colorado during the first paper-view airing of the UFC. This changed the face of martial arts all over world. In the commencement, the UFC was a stage where martial artist would compete and challenge one another with their distinct martial art style; furthermore, we would discover which individual style of martial art would rein superior above all other forms martial arts.  Jiu-Jitsu dominates over styles in their purest forms like Boxing, Karate, Kick Boxing, Wrestling, Judo, Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, etc. The style of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu became the first champions in this arena, and the Gracie family stays undefeated for years to come. Sequentially all other styles of martial arts would pursue the teachings of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and the Brazilian techniques then becomes integrated in all styles of martial arts and styles of fighting. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu revolutionizes the martial arts world, and the style becomes the foundation and the key factor of the birth of our modern mixed martial arts (MMA). 

In 2010 Placer County Grapplers Competition team and Charles Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy merges with Ultimate Training Center to develop the most effective self-defense system and mixed martial arts belt ranking system designed for the whole family.
